Greetings Parents and Guardians,
The first month of school is in the books and what a great start it was. When visiting with our staff, they have all commented to me on what a great job the kids are doing this year and that the atmosphere in our school is very positive! Well done everyone!
We had a busy first month of school and many things are happening at ÉLJHS. Our grade 7 students are all settling in and they are now going from class to class without any problems. We had our annual Terry Fox Run, school sports teams are up and running, and some of our student clubs have started as well.
As we head into October, I encourage all parents and guardians to assist their child/children with the demands of school. Please ensure that you are able to log into Powerschool and monitor your child’s assignments and progress. As a parent, I had the Powerschool app on my phone and my kids certainly loved that. They always enjoyed it when I would ask them every day why certain assignments were incomplete or not handed in. I really miss the creative responses I would get to those questions.
I hope you all have a fantastic month and I’ll see you at Parent Teacher Conferences on the 24th.
Mr. Chomlak
