As we get older, we can look back on our lives, the many stages we go through and all of the emotions associated with those stages. I look back to my younger days and reminisce about the times when my back and knees didn’t hurt and I didn’t worry about mortgages and bills. Those truly were great times! Our students often look forward to getting older, to becoming teens, getting their learners license and then, of course, heading to high school.  This month we will be hosting a farewell for the grade 9’s to say goodbye before they head to high school.  I can sincerely say that I will miss all of them.  This year’s grade 9 class demonstrated leadership, kindness, empathy and all of the virtues that we hope to develop in our students.  I will miss the high fives in the hallways and all of their interesting stories as well. Grade 9’s, I wish you all the best on your journey and it was my privilege to work with you the past two years. You will be missed!
