Greetings Parents and Guardians,

We are in the final push towards the end of the year and we only have about 12 weeks of school remaining until exams start! I am sure many of our students are counting down the days to the end of the school year and that often reminds me of a saying from our Associate Superintendent, Mr. Monty. Whenever one of my colleagues was having a conversation with Mr. Monty, and the topic of counting down the days to the end of the school year came up, he would reply “Don’t count the days, make the days count.”. I think this is a great reminder for both our students and staff as we head to the end of the year. There is still a great deal of teaching and learning that must take place before the end of the year and we need to continue to work hard every day.  I encourage all of our students to put forth their best effort in our final push towards summer holidays.  

In addition, the staff of ÉLJHS would like to wish Mr. Monty all the best on his new adventure as a retired Associate Superintendent and I am sure he will make each day count!
